Departmental Leader: Karen Zeno

Mission Statement: The Communications Department exist to keep church members, the broader Adventist community and the public informed about the Pleasant Street Seventh-day Adventist Church, its mission and its activities.  We hope to build bridges with the outside world through relevant and effective public relations, media outreach, dissemination of news and information using contemporary communication technologies as well as advertising and promotion. The purpose and desired effect of the communication activities is to create a favorable public image of the church, its mission, life and activities, and to witness to the public, that many will become followers of Christ.

Goals:

  1. Public Relations: Building, monitoring, and protecting the image of the church and its name, within the community.
  2. Media Relations: Raising public awareness of the church – its members, its mission, and its message; working to get church activities and events noted in the media; and helping to get the church’s views included in the news adequately and accurately.
  3. News and Information: Keeping church members informed about upcoming activities, and sharing church news with conference directors and the larger Adventist family.
  4. Advertising and Promotion: Strategically promoting all church programs and evangelism campaigns to attract
    attendance.
